CBD is oil obtained from inflorescences of industrial hemp (sowing). The CBD substance, or cannabidiol, shows a number of positive properties, stimulating and regulating such processes in the body as pain, appetite, memory, sleep, bringing relief in epilepsy, depression and even some forms of cancer. CBD UK oil is a safe substance and free of psychoactive compound (THC), occurring in larger quantities in cannabis.
Hemp has many names
Konopia is a plant that arouses a lot of controversy by identifying it with marijuana illegal in our country. At the very beginning, therefore, a distinction should be made for industrial hemp, also called sowing (Cannabis sativa L.), and cannabis (Cannabis India L.), from which the THC psychoactive drug, the main component of marijuana, is obtained. The cultivation and processing of hemp seed is legal, due to the insignificant content of the THC compound, which generally does not exceed 1% of all cannabinoids. Meanwhile, marijuana can contain up to 30% THC. In the European Union you can legally only grow cannabis containing up to 0.3% THC.
How does CBD work?
CDB is not only a psychoactive substance but also regulates the functioning of the nervous system and supports the rehabilitation therapies (e.g. from heroin, nicotine, alcohol). In addition, a number of its positive properties have been proven, including analgesic, anti-inflammatory, sedative, hypnotic and regulating processes related to the nervous system.
- CBD affects two cannabinoid receptors found in the human body: CB-1 and CB-2. Endocannabinoid system, discovered in the 90’s, affects many physiological processes. The CB-1 and CB-2 receptors are found in the nervous system (regulating the cooperation between neurons), in the hormonal system, immune system, in the brain, in the gastrointestinal tract, urinary and reproductive tracts, liver, spleen, heart and circulatory system. The mechanism of action of CBD oil is identical to the one naturally produced by the body in order to stimulate many of its functions.
Currently, the effectiveness of CBD is examined in such diseases as: epilepsy, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, skin diseases, migraines, sleep disorders, acne, AIDS, addictions, depression, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, rheumatism , schizophrenia, kidney disease.
Some CBD therapeutic properties have already been proven. For example, it has been proven that the use of oil significantly reduced the incidence of seizures, in children by up to 80%. Polish scientists are already working on a cannabis-based anti-epileptic medicine. CBD has also been shown to relieve various types of pain and migraines, with problems in the digestive tract, in depressions, and in withdrawal therapies. It was found that CDB can inhibit tumor cell migration. It is very effective in relieving stress and problems with insomnia. It brings natural relief in various disorders related to the improper operation of the nervous system.
It is worth using CBD oil if we are exposed to stress on a daily basis and we feel chronic complaints associated with it, such as headaches, insomnia, digestive disorders, anxiety and neuroses.
